Well, true to his word, David Vollmar at Sniffex Europe is getting the Sniffex Plus tested, or so he says.

Here is the text of his latest email:

Dear Peter,

I admire your diligence!

As a matter of fact, we are preparing for the double blind test (and a similar modified version) in order to standardize future testing, training and inspection procedures. It is clear that some type of standardized test needs to be done to give clients a performance specification.

So to make a long story short, we will in the coming months perform public testing under control from governmental and independent testing authorities, which we will put online as well.. Once this is concluded, I see no reason, why we shouldn’t also meet with Mr. Randi. The plan is to execute this in the summer months. Will keep you updated.

Of course, this raises the question as to who will be carrying out this double blind test. The fact that he says "we are preparing..." worries me a little. After all, if the test was carried out independently then the testers would be preparing the tests, wouldn't they? Or is that just my suspicious little mind?

Also, the idea that they are also preparing a "similar modified version" rings alarm bells. What on Earth could a modified version of double blind testing entail?

Anyway, we wait with baited breath to see the outcome of this testing, and to examine the test conditions with a fine toothcomb.

Of course, I fail to see why, if David has so much faith in a swivel device, he does not just go straight to the James Randi Educational Foundation and apply for the Million Dollar Challenge pronto. That way he would not have to pass go. Would, I suppose, if he is right, collect the Million bucks, and all the publicity for his amazing detector device. Nope. The logic of why he doesn't do this escapes me, but then I am a simple soul.

David, I say here and now. You are either a racing certainty for dummy of the century if you really believe Sniffex works, or a brazen liar. Betting is open now....Either way, Sniffex cannot work and does not work. That's a guarantee! See I've even put my Guarantee Seal at the top. Bet it's worth more than your guarantees!!
