Those of you who have been following the story of the fake detectors will know that James McCormick claimed that the ADE651 was 'programmed' to 'detect' all sorts of substances with the use of 'detection' cards inserted into a 'card reader'. Of course, we all know that this was bullshit, but we could not resist having a little laugh at his expense.

WIM AND JIM - OLD FRIENDS ( Old friends, memory brushes the same years, silently sharing the same fears).Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end........

Above Wim De Leur of Delpac International, Antwerp Belgium, demonstrating the magic wand known as the ADE651, and left, that well known inventor of said magic wand, Mr. James (Jim) McCormick.

We have been sent a recent article on a Dutch Skeptical website which reminded us of the good old days when Wimmy and Jimmy were happy partners.

Anyway, here is a brief excerpt from the following article, kindly translated for us by Pepijn Van Erp, the writer:

"Corruption in Belgium?

It's quite amazing that some people ever fell for this scheme, but it is not limited to less developed countries. Even our southern neighbors (Belgium) got fooled by it in 2007. The police zone of Geel-Meerhout-Laakdal bought one, and they were still quite positive about it beginning of 2010 (see also the SKEPP forum). In June 2012 however, police chief Jef van Lommel was suspended on suspicion of fraud concerning purchase of cars and building materials. There are also rumours that he got a free holiday on Cuba at the expense of the American firm which had sold the Geel police this utterly worthless 'drug sniffer' for the large sum of 25,000 euros back in 2007. The investigation is ongoing. At the end of September his suspension was extended to complete the research into his dubious affairs. But that was not enough: by February 1st 2013 the suspension got extendend for another four months.

Van Lommel's successor, chief Dirk van Aerschot, has let me know by email, that the device has been used sporadically only. It has been seized by the judicial authorities, also because of the research started in the United Kingdom. The police zone of Geel is now trying to recover the purchase costs in a civil lawsuit."

Now I expect that since Chief of Police Jef van Lommel was suspended, Wim must be in need of some clean underwear while he waits to see when he will be picked up for his part in this sorry tale.

NEWSFLASH - 12 SEPTEMBER 2012

Those charged with various counts of fraud (see previous posts below) made another appearance at the City of London Magistrates Court today.

The trial or trials have been allocated to The Old Bailey, with a next bail date thought to be 18 October (To Be Confirmed).

We understand that the next appearance of the defendants will be at the Old Bailey for pleas (note that McCormick/ADE651, Sam and Joan Tree/ALPHA 6, Sherrard/ALPHA6, and Williamson/XK9 have all already plead Not Guilty, but that Bolton/GT200 has yet to plead).

We understand that trial dates will also be set at the next appearance.

As soon as we receive further news we will of course inform you as soon as possible!

I CAN'T GET NO SATISFACTION

And I've tried and I've tried and I've tried and I've tried

Some people are telling me to be pleased that McCormick, Bolton, Sam Tree andJoan  Tree, Simon Sherrard and Anthony Williamson have been charged with fraud regarding various versions of the swivelling aerial detector fraud, so why am I not entirely satisfied?

Because I am greedy? Well, yes. In a way I am very greedy. I want everyone responsible for this fraud hung up for public gaze, like at Tyburn in the good old days.

Well, of course, even if they all get convicted, few of them will really hang. Maybe General Jabiri in Iraq?  But I want them at very least to hang in the COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION.

In my last piece you will see that I have named many people who should be hung for their involvement. But, I have reason to believe that there are people whose names we do not yet know, who might have been able to do a lot more a lot sooner to end the trade in fraudulent detectors that cost so many lives, limbs and suffering, as well as many corrupt and wasted dollars!

We know that between 1999 and 2004. Gary Bolton of Global Technical, who helped bring the MOLE to the UK (Quadro Tracker having been exposed in America), and then changed it to the GT200, was a member of the Defence Manufacturers Association. The DMA, now ADS, have refused to confirm the dates of the membership of ADS or DMA by Global Technical. Odd? Why?

We know that Gary Bolton was taken by the DMA to Parliament in 1999 to plead the case for export support for his new explosives detector product. We know that the DMA (now ADS) deny that they ever really knew what Bolton was selling, despite apparent miraculous claims for a radio aerial on a sort of pistol grip, and we believe Bolton demoing this at DMA events.

We know that The Royal Engineers assisted Gary Bolton in the promotion of the MOLE and subsequently the GT200 via carrying out demos at foreign events and possibly on UK soil, in uniform.

We know that Gary Bolton continued to use UK MOD and other official logos on his website, long after we had warned the UK Government in late 2008 via the defence Select Committee.

We know that all apparent active UK Government support for Gary Bolton and the GT200 ended in approximately 2004, or at least the records released by the MOD/Foreign Office/ DESO/Royal Engineers so far suggest this.

This raises the suspicion that someone or some people in the UK Defence/Government circles suddenly realised that the MOLE/GT200 was a crock of shite back in 2004 ish or possibly a bit later?

We know that the majority of sales of the GT200 took place after 2004. No doubt corrupt buyers in overseas markets e.g. Mexico and Thailand might claim that apparent UK Government and Military support for Bolton and Global Technical was instrumental in persuading them to buy. Obviously large bribes would not have helped to dissuade them! Ho Ho Ho!!

Anyway, what if one or more UK Government/MOD etc people did realise at some stage that the GT 200 was doo doo, before we warned the Defence Select Committee in late 2008 why didn't they say something?

Had they done so then maybe much grief may have been avoided!

But then this theory of mine may just be a load of old cobblers? What do you think?

What's worse. If you did not know already, McCormick who was charged over the ADE651 variant of the fraud used to work with Bolton on the MOLE/GT200.

They fell out and went off with the two major selling strands of the fraud. So, if Bolton had been stopped earlier, maybe, just maybe. McCormick might have as well.

Funny that Major General Alan Sharman (retd) and Brinley Salzmann (DMA now ADS Executive) who both were with Bolton at that 1999 Parliamentary hearing tried to lie about what was in fact on public record in Hansard? Odd?

You decide! But if there is anything to this theory of mine, you can be sure we will nail it down one way or the other!

GREAT NEWS! - TOAST AND DOMINOES

 Some of you who know me will be grateful that I will keep this post very short indeed. Probably a lot more to come though!!

Why toast and dominoes? 

First a toast to Techowiz, without whom this probably would never have happened!

Then a toast to others e.g. James Randi, Meirion Jones, Caroline Hawley, Lumpy Low, Andres Tonini, Bob Couttie etc etc who we have mentioned before.

But, we hope that Mr McCormick and his dirty blood money millions are also now toast.

ADE651 STILL IN USE IN IRAQ! WTF!

A friend of the Fake Explosives Detectors Campaign recently returned from a business trip to Iraq.

He reports the following:
1. The ADE651 fraudulent killer so called explosives detector is still extensively used around Baghdad. This is despite all the publicity that the thing simply cannot and does not work, and the thousands of lives that have been lost, or ruined due to inevitable failures of the ADE651.
2. It appears that most Iraqis are fully aware that the ADE651 is a joke. One guard was observed holding his thumb on the aerial, which would of couse prevent it moving. Is this because he knew it is useless too, and maybe wanted to avoid dealing with all the inevitable false positives?
3. An ADE651 registered a false positive on our friend. Luckily he was with one of his local business partners at the time who has some influence, and after a brief chat and a waving of paperwork, they were on their way. The incident did make our friend quite nervous. What if he had been on his own at the time?
4. May we remind you that the head of the Iraqi bomb squad responsible for the corrupt purchasing of $85 Million U.S.D. of ADE651s was arrested early last year on charges relating to the purchases of the useless device. Sadly he was subsequently released under a dodgy law (136b), which has apperently since been repealed, but which allowed Ministers to unilaterally quash corruption charges. Presumably the Minister responsible let off Major General al Jabiri because he had shared in some of the corrupt money! May we also remind you that the Iraqi Interior Ministry was ordered to pay back $20 Million U.S.D. to the Iraqi Treasury by way of a fine for the corrupt ADE651 purchases.

So, how come the ADE651 is still in use in Iraq to this day? It is over 3 years since Techowiz and I started to let everyone know that the ADE651, GT200 etc were completely useless. This has been conclusively proven. When will the Iraqis come to their senses and ditch the stupid useless swivelling aerials? How many more lives must be lost? How many more limbs detached? How many more families torn apart?

Un-f*****g believable!!!!!!!

For your delight I am publishing a picture from an article in a Romanian newspaper questioning the goings on between Big Jim McCormick and the fine folks at Miratel. Jim's the one with the big grin and the double chin, second from right. Nice looking man ain't he?

This article was published thanks to the efforts of Techowiz so respect for his ongoing sterling efforts to get Jim and his lowdowndirtyscum allies.

We have it on good authority that Jims relationships with his tame retired Lebanese General Pierre Hadji Georgiou (Right of picture) at Prosec, and with Stelian (Second left of picture) and the boys and girls at Mira Telecom are becoming a bit strained under the influence of our onslaught. Whoopee! We are pretty sure that the dodgy ex General was the conduit for the Iraqi deals, so he's got blood on his hands as well. Funny the lack of camraderie between military men!

We did of course email Stelian and his mates at Mira Telecom to warn them they had a slippery one on their hands with Jim, but they threatened to sue us (no sign of the paperwork yet boys!! HA HA) and claim they are a respectable company. Even more HA bloody HA!!

Still on the case Jim, Gary etc etc. Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. Your detectors can't find a damn thing, but we can damn well find you.

Just thought Jim McCormick (ATSC ADE651), Gary Bolton (Global Technical GT200), David Vollmar (SNIFFEX HEDD1), Simon Sherrard (Alpha 6) and any others selling fake explosive detectors, might like to face up to the sight of someone caiught in an explosion. Lovely isn't it!

And you pieces of SH1T go round pretending that you can prevent these atrocities.
