OUT OF RETIREMENT - NO HIDING PLACE!

Iranian officials wearing masks hold up the contraption with a long antenna, claiming it can detect coronavirus cases from a distance without the need for a blood test
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/coronavirus-iran-bomb-detector-revolutionary-guard-hossein-salami-a9466236.html

Anyone who knows this blog will know that it has been silent for a while. BUT, scams have a habit of coming back around to bite us. Like conjurors, conmen have a playbook from which they like to resurrect old tricks from time to time.

So, like the fake detector scam, up I pop again.

Some of you may remember the fraud flare up in Egypt when some fool tried to pass our fave dodgy device off as an Aids detector.

Well, it came to our attention recently that some clown in Iran re-invented our old friend, the swivelling nonsense stick, to detect...YES! YOU GUESSED IT! COVID 19.

Now, we hope this stupid idea has died a quicker death than COVID 19 victims! Otherwise, like it's predecessor gadgets in explosive detector form, it will cost lives, hence why I have returned.

On a slightly lighter note, there was something funny about this story. Apart from the funny peculiar nature of these frauds being recycled in such a blatant way. Just the day before the story broke, my old friend and fellow campaigner Techowiz was joking that if Jim McCormick of ADE651 fame were still in the dodgy detector game he would certainly have released a COVID 19 detector card for his dubious device. And lo, the next day, did his wise prediction come to pass in a way. So, it wasn't our old friend Jimbo this time. Just some other crooked sh1t at the money trough. Oh, I did note that it is another fine General involved. We have met quite a few Generals on this journey. There are of course many fine and distinguished Generals, but our have been a right shower of doo doo Generally.

OOOOOHHHHHH. I just noticed our General this time is called Salami! :-) Well, it's too easy isn't it! He really should be thinly sliced :-)

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO McCORMICK - BUT NOT FORGETTING BOLTON AND THE OTHERS - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!

By way Jim, if you read this hello from your old friends! Hope life treating you lovely and your spell in the nick was not too tough on you! Well, ok, if we are honest we hope it was hell! And do give our love to your lovely lady P. Bet she is so delighted to have your hot bod back in her bed :-) All best buddy! We haven't forgotten you! I still owe you a kick up the arse. Techowiz never lets me forget that, and will never forgive me if I fail to deliver before your demise, so watch yer back chap! :-)

Oh, to Bolton et al. There's always a warm welcome arse kicking available for you guys too! Just say when! Or shall we make it a surprise? Ummmm, I wonder.

Latest from Lebanon

Recent reports suggest that the ADE651 is still in use in Lebanon, sadly. And guess what? It still does not work.

Captain Zod, of Zod Security has tried very hard to bring attention to the fact that the ADE651 does not and can not work, and puts lives at risk.

As anyone who follows the news form Lebanon, it is plagued by bombings by various groups, so effective security measures are very much needed.

The following link includes a report from LBC1 television in Lebanon. The report is in arabic, and I am sorry that I do not have a translation. Essentially the reporter manages to get past various checkpoints using the ADE651 with explosives, weapons and ammunition in his car. Just the sort of things that should be detected.

This is followed by the presenter interviewing Captain Zod. The interview mentions the fraud conviction of James McCormick. I am told that Captain Zod goes on to discuss proper techniques for detection of explosives.

If any of our readers speak arabic and can let us have more details from the report we would be grateful.

The report starts at 19:05

Well done to Captain Zod for his efforts to put an end to this fraud!

THE GUARDIAN FOLLOWS UP

More from Rob Booth at The Guardian concerning British Government support for Gary Bolton and his Mole and GT200 fake detectors. (Well done Rob!)

Amazing that they are still so defensive. Or perhaps not. After all, the whole scandal must be very embarrassing for officials probably still working in Whitehall who allowed this to happen.

Let's hope the efforts of Rob in tenaciously following up this story help to hit the idiots who were involved right where it hurts! And that the further coverage helps the campaigners in Mexico to end the use of the GT200 and ADE651.

Of course, we have recent reports that the ADE651 is still in use in Iraq, and possibly Kenya. The more media coverage of these scandals the sooner we hope they will be brought to an end.

Don't miss the second part of the story. Look for the link to the right of the article.

THE MEXICAN CONNECTION

The following academic paper was brought to my attention by a good friend of the campaign. At his request I will only identify him as our main man in Germany.

'Expertise side-lined: science, fraud and bogus molecular detectors in the Mexican ‘War on Drugs’

The paper presents a summarised chronology of the controversy surrounding the use of fraudulent handheld molecular detectors in Mexico, as well as the responses to the controversy from three critical sectors: the Mexican media, the different government branches and national scientific institutions. The paper also includes interview material with the most prominent critics and of the molecular detectors in Mexico and compares the voices of ‘scientific activists’ with the institutional responses. Finally, an analysis of all these different responses to the controversy is made, along with a short discussion of the relevance for expertise studies, as well as a critique of the application of existing expertise frameworks in developing country contexts such as Mexico’s.'

For the full paper please see HERE

Due to the academic constraints of a lack of primary sources, the paper does not cover the issue of bribery and corruption by the sellers and buyers of the fake 'detectors'. An issue which we will return to in the future.

We look forward to further work by Luis on this issue, and we hope that this paper, and other efforts by the likes of Andres Tonini, will finally bring an end to the use of the useless 'detectors' in Mexico and elsewhere.

IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER

Now that Gary Bolton has been found guilty of fraud for making and selling the Mole and GT200 fake detectors, we must await sentencing. Apparently this has been delayed until late August or early September. It seems Bolton is trying to claim that he has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Perhaps the thought of losing all his money is causing him some distress? Sounds like a try on to us.

It does seem a bit cheeky of him to claim he has psychological problems. We wonder how his victims feel about this i.e. those who were blown up, or falsely arrested because his dodgy devices did not work.

We are sure Judge Hone will not be fooled, and will give him the maximum sentence of 10 years. The same as James McCormick.

Anyway, there are quite a few loose ends still to tie up, apart from his sentencing:

1. Hopefully the convictions of both Bolton and McCormick will finally see the end of the use of the GT200, ADE651, and other similar devices in places like Iraq, Mexico, Thailand and Kenya. If you have been following this story, you will know that despite the overwhelming evidence that these 'detectors' detect nothing at all, some of those who were probably recipients of bribes have continued to defend their use.

It would also be jolly nice if the officials who were bribed to buy the 'detectors' were also prosecuted, wherever they are. I am sure the victims of the failure of these devices to operate would appreciate that.

2. We still want to know the full extent of UK Government support for Bolton, and to see some heads roll here for having been so damned stupid as to get involved with such an obvious fraud. Please be assured, we will be continuing to work to expose them.

3. We will also be working to continue to expose those who tried to defend the indefensible. In particular, Mt Grahame Gardner of the British Society of Dowsers (below you will find a picture of the 'delightful' Gardner, looking a tad too smug for our liking!), and Mr Geoffrey Crockford, who acted as witnesses on behalf of Bolton and his fake detectors at his trial.

I have no hesitation in calling these 'gentlemen' total scumbags. They presented no evidence. Just useless anecdotes. To defend the fake detectors which have resulted in so much misery is simply despicable.

Finally, for now, we hope that this fraud is well and truly on the way to the dustbin of history, although we are realistic enough to know that these things have a tendency to return. After all, sadly, there seems to be a fraudster, a corrupt official, and a gullible fool born every second.

Grahame Gardner, President of the British Society of Dowsers, and also a bloody fool.

GARY BOLTON GUILTY! YEE HA!

News just in. Gary Bolton has been found guilty of fraud in connection with his fraudulent GT200 'detector'.

We are, of course, extremely happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He will be sentenced at a later date and we will bring you more details as we get them.

Apparently he told BBC South East that when the case was over he was going to sue them. Of course, he may yet appeal, but we have no hesitation in saying:

Gary, you are a dirty, low down, scumbag fraudster, and you will rot in jail like McCormick for being responsible for deaths, injuries, false arrests and destruction in places like Thailand and Mexico where you sold your useless devices.

Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!

 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-23461638

Below are the two posts that the Judge asked me to remove in case they unduly influenced the jury during their deliberations:

THE ALIENS HAVE LANDED

In a recent post (BOLTON TRIAL UPDATE) I brought you the news that the defence at the trial of Mr Gary Bolton produced two witnesses who were there to support the unsupportable i.e.the use of dowsing for explosives.

The two gentlemen concerned were Mr Geoffrey Crockford, and Mr Grahame Gardner (President of the British Society of Dowsers).

As we have pointed out on many occasions, dowsing is a load of old tosh. There is not a shred of credible evidence that it can be used to find anything at all. It operates purely on the principle of the ideomotor effect i.e. if you consciously or subconsciously expect to find something with dowsing rods (or even a pendulum dangling over a map - remote dowsing), then small, almost imperceptible movements you make become magnified by free pivoting rod, or into swings of a pendulum. All reliable testing shows that dowsing is completely useless, but there are those who persist with a belief in this twaddle.

One of those clearly blind to the evidence is Mr Crockford. As so often the case, a belief in one lot of nonsense is often accompanied with other, equally absurd notions.

To illustrate my point I have discovered the following report by Mr Crockford and others which claims to substantiate the idea that an alien craft landed in Rendelsham Forest.

I would love to go through this line by line and have a good laugh at the sheer volume of lunacy it contains, but that would take some time, and so I leave it to you to decide which is the funniest bit (be warned, there are a lot of funny bits!)

http://biolocation.com/Biolocation%20survey%20of%20Rendelsham%20Forest%20UFO%20site.pdf

NOTE TO THOSE OF YOU OUT THERE WITH DIRTY MINDS!: GILF means 'Galactic Intelligent Life Forms'!

It is in no way to be confused with an older generation of MILF! I hope that is understood. No sniggering at the back of the class or there'll be dire consequences.

UPDATE - I have just found the following FROM COURT NEWS UK dated 19 July 2013
'A self-proclaimed 'dowsing' expert told a court technology similar to that used in a 'bogus' bomb detector had been used to search for an unexploded bomb at Buckingham Palace. Graham Gardner, president of the British Society of Dowsers, said the principle had also been used by US troops in Vietnam to locate booby traps. He said dowsing worked by amplifying a person's subconscious response to 'earth energy' into 'subconscious muscle movements.' Mr Gardner was giving evidence at the Old Bailey trial of Gary Bolton, 47, who is accused of defrauding customers across the world with his GT200 devices'.

'Earth energy' eh! Wonder what that might be? Sounds a bit woo woo to me. But, as we said before, if he is so confident that dowsing works then he can always apply for the James Randi Educational Foundation Million Dollar Challenge. Available at www.randi.org

P.S. I have just noticed the following picture on the home page of the BSD (British Society of Dowsers, Who was the cheeky bastard who called them fruitcakes?
P.P.S. I have just sent the following email to the Council of the British Society of Dowsers:
Dear Council members,
I recently wrote to your President, Mr Gardner, questioning his appearance as a witness for the defence at the trial of a Mr Gary Bolton. I have yet to receive a reply.
Mr Bolton is being tried on charges of fraud related to his selling of the MOLE and GT200 detectors.
I understand that Mr Gardner gave evidence to the effect that the use of dowsing is a credible method for the detection of explosives.
Given the deaths, injuries, destruction and false arrests that have resulted from the use of products like the GT200, since they cannot and do not operate as claimed, I am writing to you to suggest that in supporting Bolton, without being able to present any substantive evidence, Mr Gardner has acted in an unethical manner.
Further, your articles/memoranda of association state that:

DISQUALIFICATION OF MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL
54. The office of a member of the Council shall be vacated -
(A) If he becomes bankrupt or makes any arrangement or composition
with his creditors generally.
(B) If he becomes of unsound mind.
(C) If he ceases to be a Member.
(D) If by notice in writing to the Society he resigns his office.

I sincerely submit that for Mr Gardner to support dowsing for explosives means that he must be of unsound mind, and that the BSD should consider his Presidency and membership of the Council and the BSD as a matter of utmost urgency.

BOLTON TRIAL UPDATE

THE ABOVE PICTURE HAS NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH THE FOLLOWING BLOG POST. WE JUST THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE IT. HONEST!

Reports suggest that the trial of Gary Bolton on charges of fraud related to the MOLE and GT200 'detector' devices may be progressing faster than we had expected.

The case for the defence has commenced, and we are told that the cross examination of Bolton is nearly complete (the Court is not sitting today, 17 July).

Next up in the witness stand after Bolton will be a Mr Geoffrey Crockford, who is apparently a believer in dowsing, and who peddles a theory that it works on paramagnetic and dia-magnetic principles. No doubt his testimony will include high quality evidence, or perhaps not?

Also appearing will be a certain Mr Grahame Gardner, President of the British Society of Dowsers. Again, we anticipate only the most rigorous proof from such a distinguishable figure (or should that read 'distinguished' - sorry, I do get confused at times). On the other hand, perhaps we are being a little optimistic? You decide!

Following the trial we expect that Messers Crockford and Gardner will be making a joint application for the James Randi Educational Foundation Million Dollar Prize. We simply cannot hold back our excitement.

Of course, if they do not provide any credible evidence, and do not apply for the Million Dollar Challenge, then we shall be re-naming them Geoffrey Crockfullofshit, and Grahame Fairiesatthebottomofthegardener.

QUAKING IN OUR BOOTS! ;)

Dear Readers,

I could not resist publishing the following comment I have just received. As you will see, it appears we have finally met our match. You will understand that we are very worried indeed.

The comment was made to my post A TRUE GENIUS, and is from someone calling themselves 'alleged journalist'.

Following the comment I have published my reply.

alleged journalist said...
FAO `Peter and Techowiz from the Alleged Journalist in oder to give you just a little update of what might be just over the horizon.
A major international media group has been following with great interest the developments of these 3 prosecutions and have now after some discussion have retained our group of very capable investigative reporters to compile some facts and not assumptions for an article they intend to publish later this year about "bloggers" and their legal responsibilities and this could be the perfect example. To quote but 3 items we are currently looking at.
1. Why did the BBC a World respected presenter of news and information Broadcast and network to 6 English speaking countries a Tomorrows World program clearly showing Gary Boltons device actually working but a while later screen a BBC news program presented by Caroline Hawley claiming the exact opposite.
2. Why are at least 7 World class scientists in 5 countries in disagreement with and in their words minor English academia. Please note not one of these is Prof Apsostol or any of his associates.
3. You mention in your blogs Jihad al-Jabery being convicted in relation to one of these devices. Let us, just to keep the records straight and not assume somethingas you both seem to do. Jabery was not convicted for purchasing devices from McCormick, jabery was convicted for purchasing counterfeit products, to quote a communiqué from the British Embassy in Bagdad "as we can see, the entire case (Jihad al-Jabery) is related to corrupt dealings, and it has nothing to do with the devices being ineffective etc etc etc..
We would assume that it is unlikely that this will be seen on your blog but I can assure you both that your insulting tones and misrepresentations will come to haunt you through the vehicle you have seen to use THE MEDIA.
ps a word of advice for Peter, I would check out sections 18 and 19 of the incitement to racial hatred

WHEN IS SOMETHING PATENTLY BULLSHIT?

IMAGE 1

IMAGE 2

IMAGE 1: The FAST/C-FAST
IMAGE 2: A DALEK

Spot the similarity.

Following on from an article in the Guardian earlier this week, news of a 'miraculous' new device to detect Hepatitis C spread around the internet like wildfire. Why? Because many a good skeptic smelled a very large rat.

My friend Techowiz has already blogged about this (see link below).

Now we have more information sent to us by our new friend, Pepijn Van Erp of kloptdatwel.nl (a jolly good skeptical website in Holland, if you speak Dutch of course).

Pepijn has sent us the Patent Application for the FAST (Field Advanced Detection Tool).

As I have had to point out to our other 'friends', David Vollmar and Frank Trier of Unival who sell the HEDD1 (formerly SNIFFEX), a patent does not mean a device works. See for example various so called perpetual energy machines that have received patents in the past. Have you seen any for sale recently?

Oh yes, and there is another interesting link to David and Frank and the HEDD1! The patent application for the FAST, which claims to be able to detect diseases in people and plants (What about animals I hear you animal lovers shout? Oh yes! It can also detect swine flu!), as well as drugs and explosives, refers to a previous U.S. patent applied for in 2002 by our other old 'friend' Yuri Markov. That would be the same Yuri Markov who 'invented' the SNIFFEX of course. WOW. The connections.

Now then, I could try to tell you why the FAST or C-FAST as it is now known is a complete load of garbage, but really, do I have to bother? Just take a look at the Patent application, lodged in the name of the Egyptian Government and the 'inventor' Brigadier Ahmed Amien, an engineer and so called bomb detection expert who built it with a 60-strong team from the Egyptian army's engineering department. Now where else have we heard of a military man who is a bomb detection expert. Oh yes, it's all coming back to me now! Perhaps our old 'friends' Major General al Jabiri, or perhaps Col John Wyatt Twerp.

Anyway, back to the FAST or C-FAST. We were mightily impressed by the novel handle design, which looks a bit like a thin Dalek. But then again, do you recognise that well known free pivoting radio aerial. Yes folks! That old chestnut! A sure indicator that the device couldn't detect poo in a sewage farm, let alone anything else.

So, I will leave you to read said Patent Application, and weep yet again for yet another variation on the wonderful dowsing rod scam.

Enjoy here:

And, for more merriment, do take a peek at what Techowiz has to say about FAST/C-FAST at his ever wonderful blog here:

How Many Egyptians Does It Take To Make A Scam?

P.S. When I say friend without inverted commas, then I mean friend. When I say 'friend' with inverted comments you will understand what I mean!

MIRA IN THE MIRE ONCE MORE

Following on from my last post Techowiz has now followed up the story of Mira Telecom picking up the DKL Lifeguard with a piece over on his blog, which reminds us that Sandia Labs carried out testing that proved the DKL Lifeguard is as worthless as the ADE651 (Is Stelian Ilie at Mira addicted to selling sh1te we ask ourselves?).

TAKEN THE LIBERTY

Wish we had taken the liberty of the fraudsters. Can't be too much longer now can it Techo? Not after we told the plodders everything they ever needed to know long ago?

No, taken the liberty to publish this blog in pdf form at the following location. It starts at the first post so if you don't know much about the story it is easier than reading backwards here on the blog itself, and is in an easier format to read, although some of the colour identifying text is missing.

Please feel free to spread the link around. I am happy to send out pdf copies by email if requested. Just making sure it can't be shut down or shut up!! Paranoid. Moi? Jamais!! Just having fun spreading the manure on the muderous fraudsters heads as much as we can!! Ho Ho. Happy Xmas!!

DOES THE COMPANY A MAN KEEPS

Say anything about him? OR, 2 Degrees of separation......If you do not know who these gentlemen are please feel free to ask, and if you can answer why they are joined at the pic, you win a prize!!

'With absolutely no sense of irony, Major General Alan Sharman, the head of the Defence Manufacturers' Association, said: "This was a complete bombshell. I am amazed."
25 July – Arms Trade'

'Talking of jobs that we’d be better off without, the government announced the decision to close the Defence Export Services Organisation (DESO), a department employing over 400 people and headed by an arms trade businessman.  The decision proved very popular with campaigners against the arms trade who think that DESO promotes the sale of military equipment by British companies to repressive regimes and approves corrupt payments to foreign politicians and officials to secure these sales.  They also believe that DESO was too close to central government to allow independent decision-making.  Unsurprisingly the great whites and hammerheads of the arms industry were up in, well, um, arms.  They launched an undoubtedly well-funded lobbying campaign to oppose the closure.  With absolutely no sense of irony, Major General Alan Sharman, the head of the Defence Manufacturers' Association, said: "This was a complete bombshell. I am amazed."  You plonker, Rodney!  Derek Marshall, of the Society of British Aerospace Companies, said that DESO had helped to make British arms companies second in the world's arms trade. He said he was worried that the government was now downgrading the promotion of arms sales and that without a dedicated department, Britain would lose contracts to foreign competitors.  So that’s a bad thing is it, Mr Marshall?  To help in the fight against the pin-striped dealers in death, you can support the Campaign Against The Arms Trade.'

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P3-11419154.html

'MAJOR-GENERAL ALAN SHARMAN, director general of the Defence Manufacturers' Association, expresses his dismay at the effect of Pinochet's arrest - while here as a guest of the Ministry of Defence - on arms deals to Chile. Merely 'following orders', no doubt, a consideration of human rights does not appear to be among his duties:
Pinochet was accompanied by a full military mission who were accompanied by a DESO [Defence Export Services Organisation] officer. The Chileans came at the invitation of the Ministry of Defence. Staff within DESO are deeply concerned at what they see as the British Government's breach of faith... [The arrest of General Pinochet] was extraordinary and inconceivable... Business with Chile is on hold. There was potential for significant orders and that effort has been damaged... One company had completed delivery of 100 units of a weapon and was due to act on an option for a further 400. Within hours of the arrest, Chile's agent had contacted the company and said they could forget it.'

I AM THE VERY MODEL OF A MODERN MAJOR-GENERAL (retd!)

We at the Fake Explosives Detectors Campaign are always honoured to be contacted by people of stature and standing, and today we bring you a letter from Major-General Alan Sharman (retd.), in response to our email to him (see post below).

Now, as we know, Major-General Alan Sharman (retd.) had a very distinguished career. First with the British Army in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, then as Director General Land Systems UK Ministry of Defence Government Agency, then as Director General Defence Manufacturers Association, and latterly as a Director of at least four companies, all apparently with defence industry interests (we may have missed something out. No doubt he will correct us if so).

As always, we at the Fake Explosives Detectors Campaign like to try to ensure that there is no room for misunderstanding or error, by omission or diversion. hence we have, as is our tedious way, analysed and commented on the letter Major-General Alan Sharman (retd.)

It would be good if he would respond to our substantive points and questions, particularly as we have some new information that might be quite embarrassing to him and his old DMA colleagues, if he does not do so.

His text in black, ours in red:

Dear Mr Robinson

I understand that you have made an enquiry via the MIRA Ltd website about Mr Gary Bolton.

I was quite unaware of your campaign or of your interest in Gary Bolton until receipt of your enquiry. (Had you heard anything about the Fake Explosives Detectors scandal before our email? Perhaps via Newsnight? Or in your defence industry circles? If so, did you recall Gary Bolton, Global Technical, your visit to Parliament with him, or anything at all about your or the DMA involvement with him?) Further I have had no involvement with Mr Bolton since the occasion when he accompanied me, in 1999, as part of a team giving evidence to the Parliamentary Trade and Industry Committee.  The team consisted of myself and representatives of a large, medium and small company (Bolton was from the small one) and the subject of the Committee's investigation related solely to the matter of Export Credit Guarantees.  The meeting had nothing to do with company products or their technology. (Who was responsible for selecting Gary Bolton of Global Technical to attend the meeting of the PTIC from amongst the DMA membership, from which there was presumably many possible such small companies to choose from? When you say the meeting had nothing to do with company products or their technology, do you mean it was to discuss the issue of ECGs in reference to air? Or, perhaps in splendid isolation from the products themselves? Do you mean that no products or technologies were mentioned at the meeting?)

I had no knowledge then nor since as to the technical nature of Bolton's device, nor would any other member of my 25 staff in the DMA.  (You only have to Google!) Obviously, as a Trade Association with hundreds of members large and small, the staff could not possibly know about the technical provenance or otherwise of the thousands of products produced by our members. (Not one of the DMA staff or other members once encountered or were told about the miraculous MOLE or GT200 during his membership? Or if they did see it or hear about it, didn't ask even the smallest of questions? If I was an ex-military man, say REME, who must be interested in working in safe environments cleared of explosive devices, I think my ears would prick up at a new, previously unknown detector available on the market, from a respectable UK firm!?) We, of course, always tried to verify the business integrity of our members but this could not possibly extend to testing and verifying their products.(Maybe a bit more self regulation would have been good - damn, of course, self-regulation never works! Wonder if ADS checks out its members more carefully now as a result of learning the Global Technical GT200 lesson? Do you think they should?)

I retired from the DMA in 2007. (Yes, Retirement always excuses past failures doesn't it!) I note from your own web site the comment that thanks to your campaign the record that Global Technical were members of the DMA and APPSS etc. was pulled down in about 2007. (Later than that we recall, but hey, let's not split hairs! We can always check! And again, does that excuse the fact that they were allowed to continue for so long trading on your so called good names despite the fact that it was public knowledge on the internet many years before that these devices are a fraud! And do you know Col, John Wyatt (retd. ) of SDS? Have a word with him about the history of SNIFFEX and the HEDD1 frauds! He should know. He tried selling them here to your and his ex-Army colleagues as late as last year!) In fact the DMA and APPSS were disbanded late in that year and merged with the SBAC to become A|D|S. (So what? And we all know that re-naming and re-branding often has a purpose!) I am not aware of whether Global Technical were or are still members of A|D|S.(Too late. They wormed their way in with members of the defence establishment, no doubt in no small way thanks due to your handholding!)

Finally, retired as I now am, my influence on defence and security affairs is very limited (We do not believe this. You are still an active Director of at least four companies we know of in the Defence Industry, and we are sure your contacts book is still chock full of the great and the good, so we expect that you are at least a tad embarrassed by your former association with a filthy little fraudster like Gary Bolton, and like us will call publicly and via your contacts for proper action. To include, Bolton, McCormick, and their associates to go down. Their blood money recovered. And the Government to finally impose a full Worldwide export ban and make a bigger fuss to stop the continued use of these things in places like Mexico and Thailand. And for the UK Government Officials who supported this fraud to be brought to book. We think that is a fair list of demands for all the blown up people you and your friends have helped create, wittingly or not!) but I am confident that if those currently in the Army and the MoD believe the Bolton product is a fraud then they will be taking appropriate action with regard to exports and domestic purchases. (They are not, hence our kind requests for your assistance, as a man of honour, who will no doubt acknowledge his mistakes, and help correct them, even if they were unintentional!) If, as you suggest, the products are completely ineffective (to the point of being fraudulent) WE ARE NOT THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO SUGGEST THIS AND IT IS NOT 'IF'. COME ON MAJ. GEN! then I am amazed that the Army bought them; they normally test everything to the extreme. (We do not know if the Army bought any, but it would be very interesting if they did. What we do know is that they helped promote them, and apparently the Royal Engineers tested the MOLE and said it worked - who knows how? See Sandia Labs/MOLE/McCormick/Balais/Bolton) If you are still so vague about this do please see the Newsnight reports! You can find the links on the blogs. Or Google!)

Yours faithfully

Alan Sharman

WHO IS THE JOKER?

A message to many of their ilk! Sorry. Idea came in to head and had to write it down!

Down here at Gotham City the Police Force is all in a dither. Commissioner Loeb doesn't know whether he is coming or going. Meanwhile the Mayor is caught up in all sorts of political scandals and is frankly useless.

The Police keep arresting the wrong people. The Mayors office does nothing. Meanwhile people are dying, and the Jokers are getting away with it!

We need Batman and Robin! Because even a man and a boy who wear their underpants outside their lycra might be able to do better.

SORRY!

Some final Thoughts For The Day;

1. Some serve, and some are servile (I made that up unless accidentally plagiarised! Jeffrey Archer! Another arse whose arse was protected by the great and good for far too long, and never properly spanked! Max, take him round yours one day!)

2. He who hesitates is lost. (Someone else made that up).

3. Action delayed is justice denied, or opportunities lost. (I made that up. Even if it is a bit like 2.)

Think about it people!! And idiots (sorry, forgot! You can't! Think that is!)

This despite at least some in authority knowing about it for some time before i.e. as early as 1999, and possibly sooner.

And what have others achieved? Do tell!!

WHEN IS A CONTRACT NOT A CONTRACT?
